The comments have increased, but EXXXXACTLY. This is one of the best shows of the year. I just started watching Kingdom a few days back. I had seen it listed in "top today" section of this site and was curious. So I added it to my watchlist recently. But I rarely watch newly added anime since I wanted to finish the older ones. Honestly I started this series on a whim and it was the best decision. Ever.
S1 animation was hard to digest but it wasn't bad enough to keep me away from such a good story.

Alot of the vewership on this site is also split between the Japanese-style name subs and the Chinese-style name subs.

People are not losing time and are reading the manga. Anime is only a marketing thing to sell more manga

My experience with Kingdom was that, even though it got better since season 3, I didn't wanna sit through season 1 and 2, so I just read the manga until I got past those two seasons. When I caught up, I tried watching the anime, but since the manga is so much better (the chinese names didn't help either), I decided to just stick with the manga. I assume that the same thing happened to a lot of people.

That's a pretty pointless comment man, there's a very very small pool of adaptations that surpassed the source, that's almost a universal truth, it's a waste of time even saying that shit unless someone shits on the adaptation or the adaptation just butchers it.

The first dude was asking why no one is watching the anime. My answer to his question was that the manga is better, so much so in fact that it most people just stick to it and don't watch the anime. Maybe I wasn't clear enough.

I was hoping that Shou Hei Kun would change sides at this point. He's much more rational and truly cares about the country rather than some tedious power struggle. And he's such a reliable person. Honestly if Ryo Fui actually didn't go after the throne and supported Sei, Chin would have progressed much faster.

That effect where it looks like the screen is shaking when Xin is yelling is so great!

And Changping moving over to Zheng's side was great as well. Lu Buwei saying it was later than expected was fine and all, but in the end, he still picked the most impactful moment to rebel.

Really enjoying this series, down to the dialogues scenes.
